Waterbomb Makes Waves At Its First-Ever Show In Manila

AdminMarch 1, 2025

For the first time, Waterbomb has landed on Manila’s shores and made a huge splash among Hallyu fans!

Last February 22 and 23, 2025, the iconic music festival brought a whole new experience at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park with its unique theme that has been a favorite across Asia for almost 10 years.

In case you didn’t know, Waterbomb is a much-awaited annual show that started in South Korea back in 2015. Since then, it attracted numerous fans and has expanded in various countries including Japan, Bangkok, Dubai, and Hong Kong. What excites everyone about Waterbomb is its lineup of Korean artists from different genres (like hip-hop, R&B, EDM, and K-pop) and the activities they can experience that includes water cannons and water guns.

For Waterbomb in Manila, it was a solid lineup of Korean stars for two days. Day 1 performers include Chanyeol, Epik High, Hwasa, B.I, Dynamic Duo, Raiden, Lee Chaeyeon, Kwon Eunbi, Kim Jongkook, STAYC, and Baekho. For Day 2, Jessi, Sunmin, BamBam, Hyolyn, Kang Daniel, OH MY GIRL, Gray, Skull & Haha, Yang Se Chan, Reddy, VIVIZ, and U-KWON graced the show. Each artist—whether they’re performing solo or as part of a group—performed their hit songs (with BamBam even singing Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila” as part of his setlist) for around 30 minutes each. They also interacted with fans and even went down the stage, sharing how happy they were to be a part of the event.

Aside from the epic list of artists, Waterbomb in Manila proved to be outstanding in terms of production. The stage has one big LED screen so that the crowd can properly view their faves from afar, and multiple LED displays and lights to further amp up the stage design. During Waterbomb time or when everyone gets splashed on, the crowd cheered as they got fully wet with water while dancing and singing along to the songs played in the background. There was also a fireworks show on each night to cap it off.

And for those who weren’t able to experience Waterbomb in Manila, get excited because it’s coming back next year! In a post on their official Instagram account, the music festival said: “The energy, the music, the waves—still feeling it? That unforgettable moment when water and beats came together under the Manila sky! Thanks to all of you, Waterbomb [in] Manila was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for making it incredible, Manila! And trust us—this isn’t goodbye, it’s just a ‘see you soon’.”

See you in 2026, Waterbomb fans!
