SUMMARY: Two middle-aged married sisters, each with their own family, live close enough to each other to be there for each other and also to get on each other’s nerves. Eh! It’s family! What are you going to do?
In “Villains Everywhere”, Oh Na-Ra and Oh Yu-Jin are two middle-aged sisters, each with their own family, who live in the same apartment building. That means they can easily keep in touch and be there for each other. That also means they live close enough to each other to get on each other’s nerves.
Oh Na-Ra is married to Seo Hyun-Chul and they have two children. The daughter, Seo Yi-Na. is 25 years old but still lives at home. Sometimes she spends the night out but most often she passes out. She enjoys drinking. Seo Young-Hoon, their son, is in high school and was voted class president. He’s not very bright, but he loves playing video games and is very sweet and innocent – the kind of guy that a vixen could easily take advantage of.
Oh Yu-Jin is married to Song Jin-Woo, and they have two sons, Song Kang and Song Ba-Da. Song Kang is the same age, attends the same school, and is in the same class as Seo Young-Hoon. But their personalities are practically the complete opposite. Song Kang is intelligent, very quiet, and studious. Song Ba-Da is a typical kid, loves to play games and sweet food or drink.
Their lives got interesting and lively when Oh Na-Ra took in Ku Won-Hee, a student in her son’s class who had been abandoned by her parents and left to fend for herself. Her mother and father left her to the sharks. Her parents were heavily in debt and ran away. Since the villain couldn’t find the parents, they came after Ku Won-Hee.
Oh Na-Ra stepped in to defend her and … uh oh! … these guys were villains. But Oh Na-Ra’s response and reaction to the situation was: “Even if you enter a tiger’s den, there’s always a way out.”
My personal rating is the same as Dramabeans.
“Villains Everywhere” is pure enjoyable, sillyness. These relatives are the kind of family most people wouldn’t mind being related to.
