Uhm Jung Hwa And Song Seung Heon reunite for ENA drama ‘ My Golden Star’
ENA is bringing a new drama, reuniting Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon after 10 years as they starred together in fantasy comedy movie Wonderful Nightmare back in 2015. The new show is titled My Golden Star (also going by the title My Precious Star) and is set in the film industry. It sounds like a mix of romance and mystery.
Uhm Jung Hwa (Doctor Cha) plays a woman who was a top star many years ago but then she lost her memories after an accident, leading to a hiatus of 25 years. Now she wants to reclaim her place in the industry and wants to act again like she used to. Song Seung Heon (The Player 2: Master Of Swindlers) stars as a tough traffic officer who once had a promising future as a detective but was demoted due an incident. Now he wants to return to violent crimes unit and goes undercover as a manager, hoping it will help in his goal.
Lee El (When the Stars Gossip) plays a former supporting actress who later rose to stardom as main lead after Uhm Jung Hwa’s character’s disappearance from the limelight 25 years ago. Oh Dae Hwan (Mr. Plankton) stars as an entertainment agency head who was the main female lead’s manager in the past. The drama also stars Lee Min Jae (Hide) and Jang Da Ah (Pyramid Game) who play each other’s romantic interests.
My Golden Star is penned by the writer of dramas like Miss Night And Day and Good Casting. It plans to premiere in the second half 0f 2025.
