Theatrical Date Set For Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle

AdminMarch 5, 2025

When we last left the fearless heroes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, they had finished their training under the Hashira and, after months of getting kicked around, were preparing to enter the demon stronghold, the Infinity Castle, and take the fight to them. Then the season ended….and the truth is, there won’t be any more seasons.

By that we mean the remainder of Demon Slayer will henceforth be adapted as movies instead. If this displeases you, well, you’re the ones who made Demon Slayer: Mugen Train an international blockbuster in 2020. It became the highest grossing anime movie of all time, the highest grossing Japanese film at the global box office of all time, and the second highest grossing anime film in US box office history. It was all too much cash to ignore….though that doesn’t rule out the possibility of these movies getting carved into episodes eventually, the way Mugen Train was.

There will be three films, the first of which will be called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. Crunchyroll announced the release dates today…they are staggered around the world, but most countries including the US will be getting the film September 11, 2025. Both sub and dub versions will be screened. Here’s the full list:

  • Aug. 14: Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan
  • Aug. 15: Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam
  • Aug. 20: Philippines
  • Sept. 11: Mexico, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Caribbean (Jamaica, Aruba, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Curacao), Central America, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland (Italian-speaking), Syria, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates

Demon Slayer has been a phenomenal franchise, and we at Crunchyroll are delighted to have been a part of it from the beginning,” says Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini. “Crunchyroll is thrilled to be able to bring this trilogy of films to fans, on the big screen, and it promises to be one of the truly epic and consequential pop cultural events of our time when it hits theaters.”

As you wait for the fall, here’s a new teaser and poster to tantalize you. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle opens in September.
