Set to premiere with back-to-back special episodes on Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7 at 10:40 p.m., Spring of Youth follows the dramatic yet heartwarming story of Sa-gye, a former K-pop band star who is unexpectedly expelled from his top group, ‘The Crown’. His life takes a surprising turn as he starts college and meets Kim Bom—an encounter that marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with twists, music, and unexpected friendships.
Directed by Kim Sung-yong—known for The Veil and My Dearest and produced by FNC Entertainment alongside SBS, this youth music romance is being hailed as a spiritual successor to the 2009 hit You’re Beautiful. The fresh-faced cast brings springtime energy to campus life, promising a blend of excitement, healing, and emotional depth.
The newly unveiled group poster shows the five main characters—Sa-gye, Kim Bom, Seo Tae-yang, Bae Gyu-ri, and Gong Jin-goo—gathered on a sunny rooftop, exuding feel-good, heartwarming energy. Sa-gye (Ha Yoo Joon), relaxed with his guitar on an amp, shares a carefree smile. Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu), standing at a keyboard, gazes warmly at Sa-gye and Seo Tae-yang (Lee Seung Hyub), who sits beside Sa-gye holding his guitar, his gentle presence brightening the moment.
Bae Gyu-ri (Seo Hye Won), laughing joyfully with headphones in hand, and Gong Jin-goo (Kim Sun Min), beaming with drumsticks in his grasp, round out the radiant five-member ensemble. Their collective warmth and musical connection hint at the uplifting journey ahead.
According to the production team, the poster embodies the heart of the series—a story of youth discovering love, friendship, hope, and personal growth through the power of music. They teased that the journey of a fallen K-pop star joining a college band for the first time will deliver both emotional resonance and vibrant chemistry.
Spring of Youth will air every Wednesday at 10:40 p.m., starting with the premiere of episodes 1 and 2 on May 6 and 7.
