The game is afoot! In ENA’s Salon de Holmes, four ladies of diverse backgrounds come together in their shared apartment complex to solve residents’ problems and save the day. Based on the novel of the same name by Jeon Geon-woo, this comedic mystery is primed to provide crime-busting entertainment within the conventions and humdrum routine of everyday life.
Taking on the role of the team’s brainiac, Lee Shi-young (Sweet Home 3) stars as Gong Mi-ri, whose keen eye leaves no clue uncovered. Rating her deductive reasoning at 98, her reflexes at 85, and her innate intuition at a full 100, Mi-ri is downright confident in her skills. To Mi-ri, all mysteries are simply elementary — given her incisive insight, cases will be cracked in no time at all.
Joining her is Jung Young-joo (When the Stars Gossip) as Choo Kyung-ja, a former ace detective. Nicknamed “the female Ma Dong-seok of Gwangseon Apartment,” Kyung-ja’s boisterous laughter belies an awe-inspiring power. With her sense of justice at 80, her drive and determination at 90, and her superhuman strength at 100, Kyung-ja is always ready to dive headfirst into the action.
Next up, Dasom (Serendipity’s Embrace) transforms into the “queen of part-time jobs” as the single mother Park So-hee. Although she’s still in the youthful days of her twenties, the number of jobs she takes on can’t even be counted on one hand. Perhaps it’s this extensive work experience that puts So-hee’s stats at a 90 for information gathering, a 95 for life skills, and a 100 for mobility. No one can get in the way of So-hee and her motorbike!
Rounding out our crew, we have Nam Ki-ae (Blood Free) as Jeon Ji-hyun, who may as well be as popular as her namesake. While running the Gwangseon Supermarket, Ji-hyun has amassed a vast information network comprising the neighborhood residents. Not only is Ji-hyun well-equipped for any circumstance with a 70 in crisis response and a 95 in eloquence, but she’s also able to tactfully navigate even the most tense of situations with a nunchi level of 100.
With that, the unofficial force of the Baker Street Gwangseon Apartment irregulars is complete, and not a moment too soon. Before a thousand cunning windings lead them to their Professor Moriarty equivalent, our quartet will first have to face off against Kim Joon-hyun (Graceful Friends) as a parking villain who threatens the peace of the apartment complex’s parking lot. Seemingly trivial, perhaps, but a problem that must be solved all the same. After all, to a great mind, nothing is little.
Helmed by Min Jin-ki (New Recruit) with scripts by Kim Yeon-shin (Secret Man) and Ahn Yong-jin (SNL Korea), Salon de Holmes is slated to premiere on June 16 after Tastefully Yours serves its digestif.
