Sisterhood – A Nuns with Guns Tabletop Game At Last

The idea of nuns kicking butt will always have appeal, and Parable Games’ latest TTRPG project, Sisterhood, is all about that. The crowdfunding campaign launched recently, and won’t need divine intervention to succeed as it blew past its goal pretty fast.

What more do you need to know? You play as nuns with guns. Set in the years following World War II, there’s an underground demon uprising only sisters in habits with attitude can suppress. The Four Horsemen have risen, along with a fifth figure on a horse…what’s his deal? As members of a secret society, you’ll take orders from your Mother Superior (the GM), but how much can you really trust her? Choose your targets carefully.

As influences, Parable Games lists Doom, Constantine and Hellboy, but you’d think they would acknowledge Warrior Nun, given how close this is to it. What happened to Warrior Nun anyway? Maybe we’ll hear from them soon. At any rate the Sisterhood game is here right now.

The cheapest pledge tier for Sisterhood is “Digital Initiate” at $15 which gets you just the core rulebook. The full set of digital books takes a $38 pledge. If you want both print AND PDF, the $62 tier is for you. But if you want to go all-out, then it’s nothing less than the “Mother Superior Tier” at $125 which includes three sets of custom themed dice, a slipcase for the books, battle boards, combat tokens and an original GM screen.
