The title of the show we’re about to discuss makes puns pretty easy, so let’s just get this over with: If you thought you’d never SEE a series where most of its characters can’t SEE on a physical format, then SEE this: Apple TV+ and Alliance Entertainment have entered a deal to produce a complete series set of SEE on Blu-Ray. You’ll be able to SEE it next month.
SEE is a post-apocalyptic series where a virus wiped out most of the human population, and those who survived lost the sense of sight. That is, until a pair of twins were born, the first in generations to have working eyes. At that point, it’s been so long since anyone could see that the queen who rules over that land believes the twins are witches. Now she wants their whole tribe dead (just for good measure) and their father, Baba Voss (played by Jason Momoa) must find ways to protect them.
SEE lasted three seasons, all of which will be included in this set. No special features are mentioned that we can SEE (sorry, thought it was over).
SEE was created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, All the Light We Cannot See, Woman Walks Ahead). Starring alongside Momoa is Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner: 2049), Hera Hilmar (Mortal Engines), Christian Camargo (The Hurt Locker), Archie Madekwe (Saltburn), and Nesta Cooper (Travelers). The series was Executive Produced by Steven Knight, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Jonathan Tropper, Jim Rowe, Jennifer Yale, Francis Lawrence, Dan Shotz, and Jonathan E. Steinberg.
SEE: The Complete Series hits merchant shelves July 9.
