“Running Man Korea” finally meets “Running Man Philippines” at their RUNNING MAN “RUN 2 U” IN MANILA at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 6.
Season 2 runners of the “Running Man” Philippines adaptation—namely Mikael Diaz, Glaiza De Castro, Kokoy De Santos, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, and Miguel Tanfelix—opened the show.
Buboy performed Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila,” Miguel and Kokoy had a dance including a remix of SB19’s “Gento,” Glaiza performed Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala,” and Lexi and Angel did a remix of BINI’s songs “Pantropiko” and “Salamin, Salamin.”
After RMPH’s stages, Korea’s runners—Yoo Jae Seok, Jee Seok Jin, Kim Jong Kook, HAHA, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan—took over the stage with their rendition of “Spring Day” by BTS.
They then greeted the crowd with a warm “salamat po” and did a couple of segments including “What Is Next,” “All About K-pop,” a Telepathy Game, and a Dance Challenge. Of course, the show’s highlights were the members and their solo and unit stage performances—a glimpse of their own noraebang sessions.
Song Ji Hyo covered BIBI’s “Bam Yang Gang.” Jee Seok Jin did a soulful cover of John Legend’s “All Of Me,” while Yang Se Chan transformed to Freddie Mercury in his rendition of the favorite Karaoke-ender “Bohemian Rhapsody.” HAHA kept the energy up with his performance of “Ice Bottle,” while Kim Jong Kook serenaded the crowd with “One Man.” Finally, Yoo Jae Suk took us back in time with his disco-worthy performance of “REDEVELOPMENT OF LOVE.” Additionally, fans of SpartAce were also in for a treat as Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook finally did a duet.
As the concert is about to conclude, the “Running Man” cast expressed how grateful they are for their Filipino fans. They also hope to visit the Philippines again soon.
