Pride and Prejudice – A Rookie Prosecutor Proves Her Worth

KDramaHQ AdminMarch 23, 2025

“Pride and Prejudice” is a 2014 Korean drama series, with 21 episodes, categorized as Legal Drama, Crime, Mystery, Office or Workplace, and Romance; streaming on KOCOWA+.

SUMMARY: A rookie prosecutor joins a team of prosecutors and investigators and together they solve many difficult cases. But she harbors a secret. There’s a personal reason she became a prosecutor and it has something to do with her immediate supervisor.

Now I’m a Prosecutor Too!

In “Pride and Prejudice”, Koo Dong-Chi is a brilliant prosecutor who is young, handsome, and single. Not in a relationship and wasn’t looking to be in a relationship. It was a typical day until … a woman who was young, attractive, and single, and whom he had never met before, jumped into his car and said “Drive!” He was instantly smitten and didn’t even know her name. What did he do? He started driving. Where was he headed? Uuuhhh … she didn’t tell him where to go, so he was just driving because she told him to drive. (O.o)

This unidentified woman is already the love of his life and he did whatever she told him to do because she might … vanish! This isn’t his imagination and it isn’t a dream. It’s real and he wanted to keep it real. Han Yeol-Moo was the woman and she didn’t tell him her name. She simply pointed and asked him to drop her off. Koo Dong-Chi didn’t want to let her out of the car, but he couldn’t kidnap her and hold her hostage. He’s a prosecutor! A man who upholds the law. Surely there must be a legal way to stop her from disappearing from his life.

Koo Dong-Chi has a brilliant mind. He figured out a way to keep her in his life for at least 10 months and hoped that once that time had passed Han Yeol-Moo would want to be in a relationship with him. Men who are blindly in love can be unrealistically hopeful. The two of them were out together and Koo Dong-Chi received a phone call. He walked away from the table to talk to the caller but left his briefcase behind. The briefcase fell off the chair onto the floor and the contents spilled out. Han Yeol-Moo bent down to pick up the content and saw “something” that made her look at Koo Dong-Chi … differently? … suspiciously? … frightened?

Whatever the “look” was, even from a distance Koo Dong-Chi noticed that Han Yeol-Moo’s facial expression had changed. She didn’t give him a chance to come back to the table. Han Yeol-Moo just walked away. Koo Dong-Chi chased after her, but there was nothing he could do. One minute she was standing there and the next minute she vanished.  She disappeared without a trace or a word of explanation. ?????

Five years later, guess who shows up? Han Yeol-Moo had studied hard and became a prosecutor just like him. Not only that but she was assigned to work on his team. Koo Dong-Chi had mixed emotions about her reappearance. On the one hand, he would like her to explain her abrupt departure that day. But even if he didn’t, his feelings for her had not changed and he was glad to have her close to him again.

As for Han Yeol-Moo, she was happy to be working as a rookie prosecutor and planned on being the best that she could be. But there was something else she planned on doing. One night when everyone had left the office, she returned and started searching through Koo Dong-Chi’s desk and other things. WHY?

The next day when Koo Dong-Chi came into the office, he noticed things were out of place. His book, “Pride and Prejudice”, was not in the usual spot. He realized someone had been in the office, so he checked the security footage and saw that Han Yeol-Moo had reentered the building. Koo Dong-Chi didn’t know what she was looking for and figured she probably wouldn’t tell him even if he asked. So he kindly warned her not to go through his things.

Even though her behavior was suspicious, he was still glad to be working with her. Perhaps, in time, Han Yeol-Moo will confide in him and tell him what’s on her mind. Maybe their relationship has a chance of developing into more than just co-workers.
