There’s a new indie gaming expo that opens in the UK this weekend. Why am I telling you about it if the odds are good you don’t live there? Because that doesn’t matter. No matter where you live in the world, you can attend Endix: it’s a VIRTUAL indie gaming expo.
You attend by making a virtual avatar of yourself, then stepping onto the cyber-floor. From there you can do anything you would do in a regular gaming expo: play interactive demos, talk with developers and marvel at displays. Last year’s Endix logged in 300,000 attendees, and this time they hope to beat that record.
Developers expected to be on the show floor this year include Selecta Play, who will be showing off their Bubble Ghost Remake, and the 2D metroidvania Morkull Ragast’s Rage; Raw Fury, who will show off cosmic trucking sim Star Trucker, mysterious narrative journey Esoteric Ebb and PS2-inspired psychological horror Post Trauma; Wargaming, who will show us their new tactical game World of Tanks Blitz; Aya Games, who plans to show off Ayasa: Shadows of Silence, and Jesse Walker’s medieval ARPG Mortal Crux.
