No words other than . . . ahhhhhhhhhhhh! The MEN are back and indeed it was well worth the wait. Seven members, one album, nine songs, and a sexy title track that is everything GOT7 and more!
Look, I am biased. But, if you want a K-pop group with a little bit of (or A LOT) everything, give these seasoned artists a try, because they deliver. In fact, GOT7 has always delivered. Eleven years after debut, they are still as tight as ever, having all had the opportunity to shine individually after they left JYP Entertainment, and coming back (after a three year hiatus due to individual schedules and the military) like no time has passed. GOT7 has not lost a single step. Not a one, fam!
Of the many things that are wonderful about this comeback is that each G7 member has contributed tracks on Winter Heptagon. That is, they were given the opportunity to write, produce, arrange their own tracks that are not solo, but instead delivered as a group effort. The catchy title track, Python, is a Bam Bam penned tune that drips of his flavor, but in a mature and sexy GOT7 way. Even with four of the seven men of G7 now pleasantly over 30, the youngest members are knocking on the door of their third decades, respectively. It’s safe to say that GOT7 is indeed all grown up. This is what fine tuned and mature vocals, rap, choreo and visuals sound and look like. These men are no longer boys. Weaved into the lyrics of Python is a confident swag of how dare you play me when I thought what we had was real. Now, I am going to call you out for your games, and dance all over you in spite of the hold you have on me.🤭
DAMN, these men are fine. GOT7 is at the top of their game . . . then again, when haven’t they been?
