Noh Jung-eui’s campus life brightens in Crushology 101

Welcome to the world of pretty men in MBC’s upcoming campus romance Crushology 101. Starring a bright-eyed Noh Jung-eui (The Witch) as self-proclaimed fangirl Ban Hee-jin, our heroine only cares about one thing in a partner: their ungodly looks.

Thankfully for Hee-jin (who goes by the nickname “Bunny”), her campus life is teeming with worthy candidates, and the teaser opens with her commenting that their looks are unreal. The show makes it clear that Hee-jin is a bit naive when it comes to romance, but regardless, nothing else matters to her besides a handsome exterior.

First on Hee-jin’s roster is Hwang Jae-yeol played by Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy). She describes his beauty as “measured by a ruler” and sighs in appreciation at the refreshing sight.

Next is pretty boy Cha Ji-won played by Jo Joon-young (All That We Loved) who literally turns into a harp-playing angel with flower petals blowing around him. Of course the list of potential boyfriends doesn’t stop there as the teaser also introduces Kim Hyun-jin (My Sweet Mobster) as artist Jo Ah-rang and Hong Min-ki (Study Group) playing sports-throb Jin Hyun-oh.

It seems the boys are interested in Hee-jin as well (she’s pretty adorable if not a bit shallow), and our heroine is blessed with so many options at her disposal. However, in the end, there can only be one winner, and Hee-jin has already decided on the “perfect” (AKA best looking) boyfriend. As she introduces him to her friends, they gawk at Hee-jin since she only likes guys for their looks, and in response, she screams in bed, pulling her hair out.

Directed by PD Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out the Event) with scripts written by Lee Seul (Dear M) and Sung So-eun (Twenty-Twenty), MBC’s Crushology 101 is slated for twelve episodes and premieres April 4 in the Friday-Saturday slot.
