  • Netflix announced production for the fantasy-horror and mystery Perfect Job (working title, previously Honey Jar Project), lining up Lee Jae-wook (The Impossible Heir), Go Min-shi (The Frog), Kim Min-ha (Way Back Love), and Lee Hee-joon (Karma) in the first script reading stills. The 8-episode series has filmmaker Kim Da-min (FAQ, A Killer Paradox) at the helm, with scripts co-penned by Kyung Min-sun (Tarot) and Lee Shin-ji (Concrete Utopia). [MBC]
  • Lee Seol (Between Him and Her) confirmed casting as a second lead in SBS’s upcoming Our Movie, playing a star celeb who once had a dating scandal with director Namgoong Min (My Dearest) in the past. Co-starring Jeon Yeo-bin (A Time Called You) and Seo Hyun-woo (The Fiery Priest 2), the melodrama is expected to premiere this June. [JTBC]
  • Wavve released their first poster for the action series ONE – High School Heroes, partnering top student Lee Jung-ha (The Auditors) with skilled fighter Kim Do-wan (Wedding Impossible) to upend the pecking order at their school. Coming to our screens sometime this month, the webtoon adaptation has Im Hyun-tae (Taxi Driver 2), Kim Sang-ho (The Haunted Palace), and Kim Joo-ryung (Queen of Tears) in the lineup as well. [MBC]

  • A new special teaser has dropped on Disney+, opening the box of Nine Puzzles for criminal profiler (and former murder suspect) Kim Da-mi (Our Beloved Summer) as well as detective Sohn Seok-gu (Heavenly Ever After). Showcasing footage in addition to interviews with the cast and crew – including filmmaker Yoon Jong-bin (Narco-Saints) – the crime-thriller will be launching with six episodes on May 21, then 3 on May 28, and the final 2 on June 4.   • Promos continue on tvN with new teasers for Second Shot at Love (found here and here), featuring our soon-to-be sober soulmates and first loves: Sooyoung (Not Others) and Gong Myung (Way Back Love). Following The Divorce Insurance in the Monday-Tuesday slot, the rom-com will be premiering next week on May 12. [MBC]
  • In the meantime, MBC came out with a new poster for Director Maeng’s Internet Troll, giving us our first look at the story’s odd couple and enemies-to-friends pair: basketball director Park Sung-woong (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard) and his biggest anti-fan Park Su-oh (The Witch). The short comedy will have a 2-episode runtime and is slated to broadcast over a weekend, on May 23-24 later this month. [MBC]
