• KBS’s next weekender Splendid Days (roughly translated) has begun casting, and offers are currently out to Jung Il-woo (Good Job) and Jung In-sun (DNA Lover) to headline the family drama. Aiming to broadcast later this year, PD Kim Hyung-seok (Cheat on Me If You Can) is at the helm with scripts by So Hyun-kyung (Twenty Again), who worked together previously on My Golden Life. • Lee Jae-wook (The Impossible Heir) is in talks for a new medical series called Endurance Doctor (roughly translated), potentially becoming the titular plastic surgeon if Lee signs on. Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, production is in the early stages with PD Lee Myung-woo (Boyhood, The Fiery Priest 1) attached to direct. [Osen]
• New character posters have dropped for JTBC’s upcoming Heavenly Ever After, where we’ll be following our heroine Kim Hye-ja (Our Blues) into her life after death. Also starring Sohn Seok-gu (A Killer’s Paradox), Han Ji-min (Love Scout), and Lee Jung-eun (Light Shop), as well as Chun Ho-jin (The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract) and Ryu Deok-hwan (LTNS), the fantasy will unfold on weekends starting on April 19. • Disney+’s Knock-Off had been slated to release its first season in April as well, with season two penciled on the calendar for later in 2025. However, in light of recent events, the platform has ultimately decided to place the period series on hold. Headlined by Kim Soo-hyun (Queen of Tears) and Jo Boa (Destined With You), the bulk of filming for the black comedy has already been completed. [SBS]
• Tis the season for a fluffy spring on U+ Mobile TV’s First Love as well, showcasing a fresh-faced ensemble in the omnibus, music series. With the cast led by Tempest’s Eunchan (Villains Everywhere), Jung Ji-soo (Pyramid Game), Drippin’s Cha Jun-ho, and Hwang Ji-ah (Jeongnyeon – The Star is Born) among other rookie talents in the new poster and teaser, the 6-episode youth series will be coming to our screens on April 18.
