Park Ji-hyun, Seo In-gook

• Planning has begun for a new office rom-com called Working Tomorrow Too (roughly translated), reportedly putting offers out to Seo In-gook (Death’s Game) and Park Ji-hyun (Flex x Cop) to play our story’s co-worker leads. Adapted from a popular webtoon by the same title, details regarding the drama’s director and writer have not yet been announced. [Newsen, SpoTV News]

• On JTBC, a fierce first poster has come out for the comedy-action Good Boy, taking boxer Park Bo-gum (When Life Gives You Tangerines) out of the ring to pin on a badge for special police. Also recruiting shooting athlete Kim So-hyun (Serendipity’s Embrace), fencer Lee Sang-yi (Spice Up Our Love), and wrestler Heo Sung-tae (Player 2 – Master of Swindlers), the team’s investigations will take place on weekends, starting on May 31. • Casting continues on Everyone Struggles with Their Self-Worth (roughly translated), with Oh Jung-se (When Life Gives You Tangerines), Kang Mal-geum (When Life Gives You Tangerines), and Jo Woo-jin (Heavenly Ever After) now in talks, to potentially join Gu Kyo-hwan (Parasyte – The Grey) and Go Yoon-jung (Resident Playbook) in the increasingly stacked lineup. Production is in the early stages, led by PD Cha Young-hoon (Welcome to Samdal-ri, When the Camellia Blooms) and writer Park Hae-young (My Liberation Notes, My Ajusshi). [Newsen, Xports News]
• Got7’s Jinyoung (The Witch) is reviewing roles for his next project after tvN’s upcoming Our Unwritten Seoul and could become a train engineer for Shining. Directed by PD Kim Yoon-jin (Tell Me That You Love Me, Our Beloved Summer) with scripts by Lee Sook-yeon (A Piece of Your Mind), the healing romance also stars Kim Min-joo (Undercover High School). • MBC’s Oh My Ghost Clients are streaming live for likes in the latest character posters, showcasing our main trio: Jung Kyung-ho (Crash Course in Romance), Seol In-ah (Twinkling Watermelon), and Cha Hak-yeon (Castaway Diva). Putting their varied skills together to build their labor law firm, the supernatural office drama will be taking us to court on May 30 next month. [MBC]
• MBC has also been preparing for the short comedy Director Maeng’s Internet Troll, forcing Park Sung-woong (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard) to team up with his online foe – and high schooler – Park Su-oh (The Witch). Kicking off promos with the first script reading stills, the 2-episode series is written by Kim Dam (MBC’s 2024 writing contest winner) and is slated to air on May 23-24. [MBC]
