Netflix Announces “Lovestuck” – a Quirky Romance of Forgotten Memories, First Loves, and Sweet Lies – kdramadiary

KDramaHQ AdminMay 17, 2025

What happens when a woman with no memory wakes up in a sleepy village, only to be told by a complete stranger that he’s her devoted boyfriend?

That’s the deliciously chaotic setup of Lovestuck, a fresh and charming romantic comedy currently in production and set to premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Lovestuck features Go Eun-sae, a razor-sharp, ambitious prosecutor known for being fiercely intelligent and impeccably put-together. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she’s caught in an accident while pursuing a dangerous crime syndicate. She awakens in a cozy countryside clinic, surrounded by traditional taffy shops, kind-hearted neighbors—and Jang Tae-ha, a man claiming to be her boyfriend. The only problem? She has absolutely no memory of him… or anything at all.

Jang Tae-ha, played by the ever-charming Jung Hae In (Something in the Rain, One Spring Night), is a former youth boxing champion who once walked a darker path as a gang member. Now a boxing coach in a quiet town, he’s determined to leave his past behind. But when he crosses paths with Eun-sae—his long-lost first love—on what’s supposed to be his final mission for the gang, he’s thrown off course. Realizing she doesn’t recognize him, he makes a bold decision: to protect her from the truth, he pretends to be her boyfriend. What begins as a lie soon becomes an emotional tangle of guilt, affection, and second chances.

Ha Young (The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call) makes her highly anticipated rom-com lead debut as Go Eun-sae. She brings both brilliance and vulnerability to the role of a woman struggling to piece together her identity while navigating the peculiar new reality of small-town life—and the man who insists he holds the key to her heart. As Eun-sae adapts to life among curious villagers and endless taffy, she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Tae-ha’s quiet warmth and fierce protectiveness. But as bits of her memory begin to resurface, so do questions. Can love survive the truth, or is it doomed once the lie unravels?

With its whimsical setting, colorful characters, and an irresistible blend of humor and heartache, Lovestuck promises to be more than just another romantic comedy—it’s a heartfelt story about rediscovery, redemption, and the beautifully messy business of falling in love all over again.

Reuniting director Kim Jang-han (Do You Like Brahms?, My Demon) and writer Mo Ji-hye (You Raise Me Up) after four years, Lovestuck brings together two creative forces with a knack for emotional storytelling and unique characters. The series also boasts a stellar cast, headlined by Jung Hae-in and Ha-young, whose on-screen chemistry is set to light up screens.

Whether you’re a sucker for second chances, a fan of memory-loss hijinks, or just here for the small-town taffy-shop vibes, Lovestuck is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated romcoms of the year. Keep an eye out—this is one love story you won’t want to forget.
