“Moebius Project 2012: The Veil” is a 2021 Korean drama series with 12 episodes, categorized as Spy Thriller Suspense, and Action; and streaming on KOCOWA+.

SUMMARY: That murderous thug killed my sister and almost killed me. But my fellow agent saved my life. Now he’s being hunted? WHY?

He Saved My Life!

In “Moebius Project 2012: The Veil”, it’s Seo Soo-Yeon‘s birthday and her sister is preparing a birthday celebration. They’re both excited to spend time together. The doorbell rings and her sister opens it without even checking to see who was there. A man pushes his way into the apartment and before the sister could object he slit her throat. As she lay on the floor dying he tells her that if she lives, be sure to tell her sister to stop chasing him!

Seo Soo-Yeon gets off the elevator and heads to the apartment carrying a bottle of red wine. A man bumps into her and she drops the bottle of wine which breaks and the contents spill on the floor. The man continues walking toward the elevator, with no apology, as if nothing happened. Seo Soo-Yeon angered by his discourtesy calls out to him and then realizes who he is. A split second later she realizes that he came from the direction of her sister’s apartment. Seo Soo-Yeon runs to the apartment only to find her sister lying dead on the floor.

Seo Soo-Yeon is an agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Taking risks and being in danger is a part of the job. But she never imagined that her work would cause the death of her precious sister. Performing the duties of her job was no longer professional; it was personal. She continued working, and on the surface, to her co-workers and her boss, Do Jin-Sook, it didn’t look like she was doing anything out of the ordinary.

She contacted agents in the field. One of them was a black ops agent named Chang Chun-Woo. He was in deep undercover. It was hard to distinguish him from the bad guys. But nobody could deny that he was good at his job. Good? OK. THE BEST! Part of his job involved pretending to make illicit deals with the man who killed Seo Soo-Yeon’s sister. Although he didn’t know how her sister died. He didn’t know until Seo Soo-Yeon showed up while he was in the middle of his undercover operation, intending to kill the guy!

  • Yes, it was an act of personal revenge.
  • No, she did not tell her boss or get approval.
  • Yes, she did ruin the operation and she almost got herself killed!

Fortunately, Chang Chun-Woo is a good shot! The guy who killed her sister was about to kill her too. But Chang Chun-Woo took him out! Then he had to run away because all of his hard work to pull off the operation had been compromised.  An agent wanted to get personal revenge. It’s not that he didn’t understand, but …

Seo Soo-Yeon’s boss, Do Jin-Sook, was not understanding or sympathetic AT ALL!! Seo Soo-Yeon jeopardized an operation for a personal vendetta and Do Jin-Sook gave orders to kill everyone! EVERYONE? Seo Soo-Yeon is surprised by the order. What about Chang Chun-Woo? HE SAVED MY LIFE! Her boss was like: “Uuhh … yeah. What about him?” As far as Do Jin-Sook was concerned Chang Chun-Woo had been compromised and she no longer knew which side he was on. The easiest way to handle that was to eliminate him.

Seo Soo-Yeon was not going to stand by and let that happen. She still worked for the NIS, even though she should have been terminated. Since she still had access to intel, she made it her mission to do what she could to protect Chang Chun-Woo, even though nobody had any idea how to find him. He had vanished!
