This drama is about Lee Dong-Jin (Jin Young) who grew up in highschool where there were alot of accidents and deaths that happened in the small town that he lived in and people started to blame these strange occurrences on Park Mi-Jung (Roh Jeong-Eui) and she becomes isolated from the world from fear of causing anymore accidents. Lee Dong-Jin doesn’t believe that Mi-Jung is the cause of these problems as he becomes an adult he sets off to prove with data that she is innocent. He does data mining and he focuses on trying to solve this problem. He meets her by coincidence years later and he wants to get to the bottom of this problem and starts using data to figure out what is happening to her.
So this drama wasn’t really what I was expecting, I really thought there was going to be a true explanation why these bad things happened to the people around Mi-Jung. I thought that it was going to be like a stalker that is taking out the people that talked to her or something but it went more in a supernatural way instead. I also don’t like how they called her a witch because she isn’t trying to do anything to anybody. I would more likely call her cursed more than a witch because she wasn’t actively hurting anybody. At some point it is super ridiculous that she is forever being hit on my men when she barely talked to anyone and wore hoodies and basically avoided people. It was kinda crazy that so many guys would like her without her even trying to talk to anybody, I didn’t know introverts could be that well liked.
A lot of people complained that Dong-Jin pretty much becomes a stalker and does super creepy documenting of her and everyone that she had met and didn’t think that she would fall in love with a stalker like that. I honestly think that if someone was putting that much effort in trying to figure out my problem and attention when you have had to avoid people like that I would find it touching. It would feel like someone actually cares about me and has figured out a way for me to live as normal as possible. I don’t feel as bothered by that thought but I can see that as a negative point for some people. I kept thinking throughout the drama that she should just join an all-girl school/college and she would have a better chance of living more normal. She could also join a convent where you would just live in women and she would be able to live safely instead of being completely isolated.
The drama was too short and it has a strange plot twist at the end that just seemed oddly placed without enough build up. I feel like it needed to be a longer drama if they really wanted to tell a better story. The ending felt way too rushed and just didn’t feel like they had the time to really explain everything properly. I really wish they would stop rushing the dramas to fit into so few episodes. I did find it interesting when Dong-Jin was trying to figure everything out and the drama kept my attention to the end. I did like this drama even though there was a few frustrating things about it.
This drama is about Baek Soo-Jung (Mun Ka-Young) who when she was a teenager she played an online game and fell in love with a boy but was utterly devastated when she met in real life as he lied about his age and it leaves some trauma in both of their hearts. 16 years later Soo-Jung is the leader of a planning team at a department store and is known as someone that stands up for injustice and butts head with her boss all the time. She meets Ban Joo-Yeon (Choi Hyun-Wook) who is the successor of the department store and he becomes her boss. He has some secrets about his hobbies and Soo-Jung finds them out and they start butting heads because he needs to keep it a secret from his grandma who is in charge of the department store.
This is a fun and silly drama and was enjoyable. Again it was a short drama so things felt rushed again and they didn’t give themselves enough time to really work with the characters and give them some growth. It feels similar to other romcom dramas and didn’t really feel like there was anything very unique or special about this drama but it was easy watching. It has a lot of cute moments but I think because they are a bit immature it had some strange chemistry.
It was decent and entertaining drama but didn’t leave much of an impression on me.
This drama is about Yoon Joo-No (Lee Je-Hoon) who is a Mergers and Acquisitions expert and is a legendary negotiator who works for corporations. He is hired for Sanin Group who is facing a debt and has to sell off parts of the company to be stop them from being bankrupt. He forms a team with the best negotiators and starts working even though he has a lot of enemies within the company.
So I did like the general story line of the drama when they would work with people and get to the heart of the problem when they are trying to make deals. They have to read between the lines and find the secret that the people have to be able to successfully negotiate. There is some psychology that is involved when working with people and I did for the most part find that interesting but this drama contains a lot of business talk. I would find myself getting bored when the old guys are doing business talk and making different deals. I am pretty sure I missed a lot of the drama because I would have trouble focusing on the smaller business details because I don’t really have an interest in some of those things. I got the general idea of the drama but felt like there were a lot of boring parts that I tuned out during and didn’t really care about.
The music in the drama was really over the top at times and annoying like they were trying waay too hard to add suspense. I didn’t like how they didn’t properly explain some things at the ending and it was an open ending like they are planning to do a second season. I wanted to know more about Joo-No’s personal life and what happened with his wife and family. It also feels weird like you are just dropped into a drama half way because they don’t really explain his past and he brings on people that he worked with before but we don’t know their backstories and it just feels like we are being left out somewhat. I wish they would spend more time on the workers and their personal lives as well because they would show us a tiny bit but I wanted to understand them more than what they showed. I guess if they are planning a second season they wanted to live some things out so they have something to work with in another season.
There were compelling parts of the drama but the business side of the drama got boring at times for me
This drama is about Jung Hui Wan (Kim Min Ha) who is 24 years old and is depressed but her childhood friend Kim Ram U (Gong Myung) knocks on her door and he died 4 years ago and now is a grim reaper. He tells her that she is going to die in one week and he wants her to complete a bucket list with him for a week.
So this drama is even shorter it is only 6 episodes which is a shame because it was a pretty good drama and could have easily done a longer drama. I literally cried in every episode so maybe it was better it was shorter. It is so sad and healing at the same time and really broke my heart over and over again. I think it would have been better to have more episodes but I thought they did pretty good with the amount of time that they had. I also wished for more of a concrete ending because it feels more like an open ending that you need to decide on your own what happens. Overall it was decent short drama that made me cry so many tears.
This drama is about Heo Gyun (Xiumin) who is from the Joseon Dynasty and he is an advocate for change and also a food enthusiast and has good writing skills. He has an enemy that doesn’t want him changing anything in society and assassins come to kill Heo Gyun and he time travels to the present day and runs into Bong Eun Sil (Chu So-Jung) and ends up helping her mother’s restaurant.
I thought this could have been an interesting drama due to the time travel but it really fell flat for me and seemed like a low budget drama to me. The lighting was annoyingly dark and so many scenes had poor lighting. Xiumin was overacting in this drama but I don’t know if that was supposed to be like that and it felt poorly acted. I found his character annoying and unlikable and I could not really get into the story at all, everything felt kinda flimsy. The bad guy in the past made some sense I guess but him as the villain in the present was awkward and didn’t find it that believable.
I also found the character of Eun-Sil annoying and it bothered me she kept calling him homeless ahjussi, it was too much. She wasn’t that likable either and there was literally no chemistry between the characters. I was always like what is the point of this drama? I don’t really get the point of it at all. I think the only interesting character was Mae-Chang. It just felt like they had all the cliches and pieces of what could be a good drama, like if they follow the recipe it should be a good drama but it has no heart. It felt like an emotionless and empty type of drama.
I wouldn’t recommend this drama unless you have nothing to watch and don’t want to think very much.
