Lee Je-hoon gives tips on The Art of Negotiation

With a week left until its premiere, JTBC releases another batch of promotional videos for its upcoming office drama The Art of Negotiation. Charming the audience with his silver hair and dapper looks, Lee Je-hoon (Chief Detective 1958) stars as merger and acquisitions (M&A) expert Yoon Ju-no.

Under the guise of negotiation tips, Lee Je-hoon basically flirts convinces the audience to tune in for the show. First comes eye contact, then comes reason, and last is emotions. While the clips don’t provide any substantial information about the plot, they make up for it with tons of smoldering and finger hearts by our suave hero.

As for those actually interested in the story, a trailer for the first episode reveals a bit more insight on that front. With a 11 trillion won debt on the line, Ju-no is scouted to the M&A team of Sanin Group, and his first order of business is recruiting his own team members including attorney Kim Dae-myung (Light Shop).

Not everyone, though, wants the new hire around as CFO Jang Hyun-sung (Flex x Cop) refuses to change his ways just because some hotshot is joining the company. As he leads the charge on the impending sales, he tells the other directors that Sanin Group might lose its neck if they don’t cut off the arms and legs.

The stakes are raised as Sanin Group CEO Sung Dong-il (The Tale of Lady Ok) reminds Ju-no that saving the company comes first and asks him point-blank if he is confident. While others squirm from the responsibility in case of failure, Ju-no faces the challenge head-on and answers the CEO without a hint of hesitation, “Yes.”

Directed by PD Ahn Pan-seok (The Midnight Romance in Hagwon) with scripts penned by Lee Seung-young, JTBC’s The Art of Negotiation is slated for twelve episodes and premieres March 8 in the Saturday-Sunday slot.
