The doors have reopened for Disney+’s action thriller A Shop for Killers in the form of a second season. Bringing back familiar faces as well as some new ones, both uncle and niece have returned to finish up their unsettled business.
Lee Dong-wook (The Divorce Insurance) reprises his role as Jung Jin-man, a retired mercenary and original owner of the shopping mall Murthehelp. In the first season, his suicide triggered the events of the story, but as fans of the series will remember, Jin-man appears in the last episode, alive. Now that our killer uncle is here, it’s time for a little payback.
Also returning to the series is Kim Hye-joon (A Shop for Killers) as niece Jung Ji-ahn. After her uncle’s passing, Ji-ahn took up his dangerous mantle as the shopping mall owner and fought to stay alive. Now that Jin-man is back, Ji-ahn is no longer alone as she faces her next opponents.
Adding to the list of returning cast members, Jo Han-sun (A Shop for Killers) reprises his role as Babylon mercenary Bale, a ruthless killer and possible final boss. In addition, Geum Hae-na (A Shop for Killers), Lee Tae-young (Karma), and Kim Min (Study Group) will play their original characters mercenary So Min-hye, shop helper Brother, and Muay Thai instructor Pasin, respectively.
As for the new faces, Hyunri (Eye Love You) joins as Babylon mercenary Q along with Masaki Okada (Mr. Mikami’s Classroom) who will play her brother and fellow mercenary J. Lastly, Jung Yoon-ha (The Trunk) will lead them as Kusanagi, the head of the East Asian branch of Babylon.
With the original crew also returning for the second season, PDs Noh Kyu-yub and Lee Kwon will be directing with the latter also writing the script alongside Ji Ho-jin. Filming has been confirmed for A Shop for Killers Season 2 which will air sometime next year.
