Anime Expo starts tomorrow! Manga publisher Kodansha has a lot of panels scheduled for the next four days, as well as what they claim is their “BIGGEST BOOTH EVER” featuring The Ghost in the Shell and Gachiakuta. – two manga the company distributes that will be getting new anime adaptions soon.
Both those properties have panels this year, Gachiakuta‘s on Thursday, July 3 at 4:15 PM and Ghost in the Shell‘s at 5:15 following it. Creators Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou will be present at the Gachiakuta panel, which will feature a live drawing, a Q&A session and other highlights. Guests of the Ghost in the Shell panel will include members of the production team at Science SARU, who are currently at work on the new anime adaption set to hit in 2026.
Other panels include a celebration of creative team Peach-Pit’s 25th anniversary, a panel on how to organize your own anime club and a look at Kodansha’s future (expect some new announcements at this last one). You can check out Kodansha’s full 2025 Anime Expo schedule below.
