Kim Seon-ho, Bae Suzy Together Again in New Vampire K-Drama From Disney+

KDramaHQ AdminMay 23, 2025

The characters played by Kim Seon-ho and Bae Suzy may not have ended up together in the hit K-drama “Start-Up,” but their fans will surely be happy to know that we will get to see this pairing again — hopefully soon.

Disney+ announced today the start of production for a webtoon adaptation with the working title “Delusion.” The new K-drama, starring Kim Seon-ho and Bae Suzy, is based on a Naver webtoon of the same name.

“Delusion” follows a vampire named Song Jeong-hwa. She is mourning a love she lost decades before. Jeong-hwa has already accepted a life of emptiness. Her life changes, however, after she meets Iho — a painter with a past.

In “Start-Up” with Nam Joo-hyuk, Bae Suzy portrayed a gutsy startup founder. After her performance as a mysterious former K-pop idol with manipulative tendencies in “Doona!” with Yang Se-jong, we’re now looking forward to seeing her sink her teeth into a vampire role.

Bae Suzy is set to appear this year in another fantasy K-drama, “Genie, Make a Wish,” with Kim Woo-bin. She previously starred in the sci-fi film “Wonderland” with Park Bo-gum.

For his part, Kim Seon-ho played the beloved Han Ji-pyeong — our favorite good boy — in “Start-Up.” This time, he will again be acting as a painter, similar to his character in “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” where he appeared with IU and Park Bo-gum.

We are now waiting for the premiere of “Can This Love Be Translated?” — Kim Seon-ho’s new K-drama with Go Youn-jung.

“Delusion,” directed by Han Jae-rim of “The Face Reader” and “The 8 Show,” is Kim Seon-ho’s second series on Disney+. Last year, he starred in the action-thriller “The Tyrant.”

“Delusion” is the latest series to be announced in Disney+’s slate of upcoming Korean content. Its subscribers can also look forward to “Low Life,” starring Ryu Seung-ryong, “Tempest,” featuring Gianna Jun and Gang Dong-won, and “Made in Korea,” with Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung.

On the other hand, fans of Kim Soo-hyun are also eagerly awaiting for updates on his latest drama, “Knock-Off,” the release of which has been put on hold by Disney+ after his dating controversy with the late Kim Sae-ron.
