Happy up-beat vibes, intense rock beats, and a lovely trip down memory lane are featured on this week’s playlist! No matter what mood you’re dwelling in (or want to shift towards) today’s songs span all the genres — so which track will you connect with?! Keep reading!
Are you ready to get-up-and-dance?! ‘Over N Over’ is a high-energy bop with a great mix of vocals and raps, but it was the chorus that hooked me — the harmonic, anthem sound is reminiscent of IKON, and I’m loving it. And so are NTX, judging by the hyped, outtake clip in the MV credits!!
I love a good trot song and ‘Heung!’ is hitting the spot! Jeong Dong Won is a versatile young artist, well-known in this genre, as well as recently debuting in K-Pop under his alter-ego stage name, JD1. He brings his magnetic charms and great vocals in this fun title track — one of many great songs, off his newest album!
ATEEZ’s Mingi has dropped the second single in his FIX OFF Desire Project series, and it is excellent!! ‘Autobahn’ has a powerful, driving sound with lyrics to match — the vibe really captures that feeling of speeding down a long stretch of highway. And with her powerful rock vocals, Yunmin (from the co-ed Korean band, Touched) was the perfect addition to this new track!
My heart was so happy to see this reunion of my favorite Reply series couple! It’s easy to forget that these two popular actors are actually accomplished vocalists — however, this beautiful duet serves as the perfect reminder. Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous harmonies in their fresh reinterpretation of the classic SECHKIES song, ‘Couple’!
I have been a fan of boy groups since I was a teenager (proud Backstreet Boy girl right here!), but as more and more K-Bands infiltrate the K-Pop scene, I am definitely being swayed! Dragon Pony dropped their first comeback album and ‘Not Out’ is another immediate add to my playlist. With a strong lead singer, crazy guitar riffs and stellar drum solos, what’s not to love about this rookie band?!
Did you find just the perfect song (or five?) to add to your playlist? Let me know in the comments below!
Until the next playlist,
화이팅!
