MBC’s latest teaser for fantasy-comedy Oh My Ghost Clients puts the spotlight on its wacky trio with the money-motivated Jung Kyung-ho (Crash Course in Romance) teaming up with the smooth-talking Seol In-ah (Twinkling Watermelon) and the attention-seeking Cha Hak-yeon (Castaway Diva). Turning a curse into a blessing, this fantastic yet fanatic team tackles labor cases for their special clientele and asks for likes along the way.
Noh Mu-jin (Jung Kyung-ho) is a labor attorney, a hero for the working class… except that he’s not. Like his namesake, Mu-jin lacks a lot of things like tact, luck, and money. Declaring that you only die once, Mu-jin looks for his big break, but instead, he’s met with falling beams and a trip to the afterlife. He wakes up after the accident with the ability to see ghosts, and his new powers turn his life upside down.
Enter Mu-jin’s sister-in-law Na Hee-joo (Seol In-ah). She thinks his ghost-seeing abilities are an asset and suggests expanding their field. Not above using blackmail to negotiate or driving a car into their foes, Hee-joo is both the brains and brawn of their operation. With a plan up her sleeve and Mu-jin on her back (quite literally), Hee-joo is ready to put on a show.
Last but not least, Go Gyeon-woo (Cha Hak-yeon) joins the office as the team’s content creator. He flaunts his intelligent and gorgeous looks (his words, not mine) and tells Mu-jin that exposure equals money, hence the flashy clothes and editing style. Looking over Gyeon-woo’s resume, Mu-jin wonders if he’s actually smart and just pretending to be crazy, which basically means he will make the perfect addition.
“Impossible is nothing” becomes the team’s credo as they lead strikes, grab people off roofs, and commune with the dead. Faced with crazy scenarios and life-threatening situations, Mu-jin starts to feel a sense of duty as a labor attorney, but of course, likes and subscribes come first.
Helmed by filmmaker Im Soon-rye (The Point Men, Little Forest) with scripts co-written by Kim Bo-tong (D.P.) and Yoo Seung-hee (A Year-End Medley), MBC’s Oh My Ghost Clients is slated for ten episodes and premieres May 30 in the Friday-Saturday slot.
