COMING UP: June 2025 Korean Dramas

Mercy For None | June 6 | Netflix

So Ji Sub leads the charge as Nam Ki-jun in Mercy For None — a former enforcer who once slashed his own Achilles tendon to escape the criminal world. But when his younger brother Ki-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk) dies under suspicious circumstances, Ki-jun dives back into the darkness he once fled — and this time, he’s not leaving until justice is served.

The First Night with the Duke | June 11 | KBS2 TV

Adapted from the popular Naver web novel of the same name, The First Night with the Duke blends romance, fantasy, and meta-fiction in an irresistible story about a seemingly ordinary female college student who wakes up in the body of a minor character in a romance novel—and ends up spending an unexpected night with the novel’s dashing male lead.

Seohyun takes on the role of Cha Seon-cheok, the overlooked supporting character who suddenly finds herself hosting the soul of college student “K,” while Ok Taecyeon transforms into Lee Bun, the swoon-worthy main character and royal heir within the fictional world.

Our Movie | June 13 | SBS

Starring acclaimed actors Namgoong Min (One Dollar Lawyer, My Dearest) and Jeon Yeo Been (Vincenzo, Harbin), this 12-episode series promises a heartfelt journey that explores the beauty of life even in the face of its end.

Our Movie features Lee Jeha (Namgoong Min), the son of a celebrated filmmaker who finds himself creatively paralyzed by the pressure to follow up his critically acclaimed debut film. Desperate to reclaim his voice as a director, Jeha makes a daring and unconventional casting choice: Lee Daeum (Jeon Yeobeen), an unknown aspiring actress who is quietly battling a terminal illness. His decision sends shockwaves through the film industry, raising eyebrows and questions—but it’s a choice that sets both their lives on a new path.

As they work together to bring Jeha’s new film to life, Jeha and Daeum begin to break down each other’s emotional walls. What starts as a professional collaboration slowly evolves into a deeply personal relationship, as they confront their fears, regrets, and painful pasts. Through moments of joy, sorrow, and vulnerability, they discover a rare and tender bond—one that transcends time, illness, and the limitations of life.

Salon de Holmes | June 14 | ENA

Starring Lee Si Young, Jung Young Joo, Kim Dasom, and Nam Ki Ae, this fresh “womance” series promises a fun, high-energy ride through mystery and mischief.

Set in the quirky world of Gwangsan Public Housing, the drama follows four wildly different women who join forces to take down the apartment complex’s ultimate troublemaker. Think Sherlock Holmes meets Desperate Housewives—with a whole lot of sass.

Lee Si-young leads the charge as Gong Mi-ri, the self-declared “Holmes of Gwangsan,” a sharp-eyed sleuth with neighborhood legend status. Jung Young-joo brings the grit as Chu Kyung-ja, a no-nonsense former ace detective who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Adding some fast-paced flair, Kim Da-som revs things up as Park So-hee, a fearless informant zipping through the complex on her motorcycle. And in a scene-stealing role, Nam Ki-ae plays Jeon Ji-hyun, a once-powerful insurance mogul with a flair for obsession and drama.

With comedy, crime-solving, and a powerful portrayal of female friendships, Salon de Holmes is shaping up to be a must-watch series full of wit, warmth, and wild twists.

I Am a Running Mate | June 19 | TVING

After a seriously embarrassing incident on the bus, model student Se-hoon (Yoon Hyun Soo) finds his perfect reputation shattered by a cringe-worthy new nickname—“Erector.” Desperate to reclaim his image, he reluctantly teams up with overzealous student council candidate Won-dae (Choi Woo-sung) as his running mate.

But things go from bad to worse when Se-hoon finds out he was actually 12th on Won-dae’s list of preferred partners. Ouch.

Enter Sang-hyun (Lee Jung Shik), the effortlessly popular classmate who might just hold the key to surviving the school’s brutal popularity games. Together, can they navigate the cutthroat world of high school politics and save Se-hoon’s pride?

Starring Yoon Hyun-soo (A Good Day to Be a Dog), this sharp and witty series is a must-watch for fans of Study Group and Undercover High School—offering a hilarious yet heartfelt look at teenage ambition, reputation, and the chaos of campus life.

Head Over Heels | June 23 | tvN

Reuniting beloved duo Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-woo, this highly anticipated series follows a high school girl with a supernatural secret and the boy she’s fated to save.

Cho Yi Hyun stars as Seong-A, a seemingly ordinary student who moonlights as a shamaness. Her world turns upside down—literally—when she meets Gyeon-U (played by Baeksang-winning actor Choo Young Woo), a boy cursed with a doomed fate. Using her mystical insight, Seong-A sees him walking upside down, a shamanic omen signaling that his time is running out. But instead of turning away, she falls head over heels for him and vows to change his destiny.

Head Over Heels promises a dazzling mix of otherworldly mystery and heart-pounding romance, brought to life by director Kim Yong-wan (The Whirlwind, If You Wish Upon Me) and writer Yang Ji-hoon.
