Jeon Yeo-bin becomes Ms. Incognito in a rags-to-riches pursuit

ENA announced a new crime romance to bring thrills to our screens, following the tumultuous journey of Jeon Yeo-bin (A Time Called You) in Ms. Incognito (working title, previously Good Woman Bu Se-mi).

We first meet Kim Young-ran (Jeon Yeo-bin) with not much to her name, having had her share of financial struggles and now working as a bodyguard for the owner of our story’s Ga-sung Group. Here, she’s presented with a lottery-like opportunity when the terminally ill chairman proposes a 3-month contract matrimony. But the catch is risky as she has to take on the fabricated identity of Bu Se-mi and somehow survive three months amidst the inheritance battles within Ga-sung.

Continuing the tropefest, Jinyoung (Who Is She) plays the valiant single dad Jeon Dong-min, a countryside strawberry farmer and the only person in town who is wary of newcomer Se-mi (a.k.a. Young-ran). However, she just so happens to be his young son’s new homeroom teacher and I suspect the tsundere Dong-min will soon be having a change of heart.

Back on the chaebol war grounds, Seo Hyun-woo (The Fiery Priest 2) is in the role of the meticulous and money-hungry Lee Don, living up to his name “Don,” which means money in Korean. Despite being the chairman’s personal attorney, Don encountered a glass ceiling due to his education and family background, and has shrewdly tweaked his ambitions to target a different prize.

Se-mi will have to watch out for Jang Yoon-ju (Queen of Tears) as well, who plays the part of the chairman’s stepdaughter Ga Sun-young. Having mastered the art of image-making and manipulating the narrative in her favor, the cold-hearted Sun-young is a frightening woman who uses many faces to fulfill her goal.

The dry humored Joo Hyun-young (The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract) could also be friend or foe, playing one of the household staff at the Ga-sung family home as Baek Hye-ji. In the first part of our story, Hye-ji will be roommates with the then bodyguard Young-ran and will likely be a complication to Young-ran’s new guise as Se-mi.

Helmed by PD Park Yoo-young (The Kidnapping Day) with scripts by screenwriter Hyun Gyu-ri (The Night Owl), ENA’s Ms. Incognito has begun filming and is slated to release later this year.
