How frequently do you see ghosts? Hopefully, not often. But if you so choose, you can up the ratio of ghost-to-non-ghosts moments in your life with Ghost Frequency, the new survival horror game from Serafini Productions and PIT Games.
Mark is a seasoned ghost hunter who’s been wondering where his colleagues in the field disappeared to. He traced their steps to a secluded house deep in the woods, and he was like “why WOULDN’T I go in here.” That’s where you take over, guiding Mark through the dumbest decision of his life as you observe the haunting through his bodycam. That’s correct, the game is staged as bodycam footage, so if there wasn’t such a thing as a found-footage horror game before, there is now.
PIT Games says they used actual ghost-hunting shows as inspiration, only in this case ghosts actually show up. They also put in a lot of psychological scares in the vein of PT, which is always a good idea — it’s not like people can buy PT instead, after all.
Ghost Frequency was released on PC via Steam last week, and it was just published on Nintendo Switch today. Wherever you want to get your scares is up to you, though the Steam version is a dollar less and there’s a 10% discount for the next week.
