Gachiakuta Launches July 5 With Big Promo Campaign -Popgeeks

Crunchyroll’s next big shonen title is Gachiakuta — and they really want to make sure you know it’s coming. So they’ve prepared multiple promo videos, plus a big early premiere for the debut episode at Anime Expo.

Gachiakuta is a new action series about Rudo, a young outcast falsely accused of murder. His sentence is exile into the wasteland known as The Pit. He may be down, but he’s far from out! He discovers an organization within the wasteland called The Cleaners, who can give life to trash and transform it into powerful weaponry. It’s just what he needs! Someday soon Ruto will be able to escape The Pit and get his revenge against those who sentenced him. He’ll just have to get past all the monstrous Trash Beasts first. Wouldn’t be a shonen without lots of training.

The series is directed by Fumihiko Suganuma (no previous credits — this is his first major directing gig), with series composition by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, JUJUTSU KAISEN), and music by Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs).

The Anime Expo premiere, which encompasses the first two episodes, will occur on July 4 at 10 AM Pacific, as part of a special panel featuring creators Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou alongside producer Naoki Amano. In addition there will be a Gachiakuta-themed installation on the show floor, featuring storytelling zones and other attractions.
