Elena Joins Street Fighter 6 as the Final Season 2 DLC Fighter—Yes, There Are Still Beats in Her Head
Capcom just dropped the teaser for the final character in Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 DLC, and it’s none other than Elena—the capoeira dancer who can kick you in the face and then heal herself while smiling about it.
The teaser opens with a vibrant night-time celebration deep in the wild. Indigenous African percussionists lay down a joyful beat beside a bonfire, while zebras and hippos (yes, actual hippos) groove alongside villagers under the moonlight. It’s a magical, music-filled moment that sets the tone for Elena’s return—and then, in perfect rhythm, she enters.
Perched atop ancient ruins and illuminated by firelight and moonbeams, Elena launches into a beautifully animated capoeira performance. Her moves flow with her usual grace as villagers and animals alike dance in harmony, like nature itself is vibing. Among the crowd is none other than John World Tour, the default male avatar from the game’s single-player mode, joining the party and looking very much like he’s having the best field trip of his life.
And just as suddenly as she appeared, Elena vanishes. When John turns around, there she is—by the river’s edge, giggling softly as hippos bathe behind her, blending into the night like some dancing forest spirit. It’s stylish, whimsical, and peak Elena.
She wraps up a pretty stacked Year 2 lineup that already gave us M. Bison, Terry Bogard, and Mai Shiranui. Now, Elena’s here to bring rhythm, flow, and that one move that caused psychic damage in Street Fighter IV—Healing.
Elena originally debuted in Street Fighter III as a Kenyan princess on a global journey to study, make friends, and test her strength against worthy opponents. She remains the only Street Fighter character who fights only with her legs—no punches, just pure footwork, flips, and finesse.
She wears white zebra-print capoeira pants, flowing and stylish for her acrobatic style. Her white sports bra is layered with a red patterned scarf draped across her shoulder for added flair. Her hair is now a sleek asymmetrical bob, replacing the pixie cut from her earlier days. She’s now wearing subtle makeup, especially around the eyes, adding modern elegance to her expressive look. Most notably, she wears sneakers now, marking the first time she’s ditched the barefoot look—bringing her into the new era while still kicking like a champ. Her signature hoop earrings and colorful bracelets are still here, tying it all together.
For fans of her old-school look, her classic Street Fighter III outfit—with the white bikini top, short hair, and traditional jewelry—will return as her nostalgia costume.
