All single moms who haven’t been on a date for a while, love it when someone calls and threatens their child who is at home, while they’re sitting at a dinner table with their new date.
In “DROP“, Violet is a young widow with a young son who hasn’t been on a date in FOREVER! She finally decides to get back into the dating world. She’s nervous, terrified, doesn’t know what to say or do or expect, doesn’t know what her date expects from her … never once thinks somebody will call during her date and TERRORIZE HER!!
Technology. You love it and you hate it. Violet has just sat down at the table with her dinner date to enjoy what she hopes will be a lovely evening with Henry. She left her young son in capable hands, her young sister. Jen agreed to babysit Toby while her big sister finally goes out to have some fun!
About 5 minutes into the date, Violet gets a phone call. She thinks it’s a prank but the calls keep coming in. Finally one call shows her a video and that’s when she realizes that her son and sister ARE IN DANGER! The caller uses technology and shows here there’s a camera on her and a camera on his sister and son at home.
But what does the person want? Nothing much. Violet just has to KILL HER DATE! You mean … Henry? Yeah. If Henry dies her son and sister live. It’s not complicated.
It’s sadistic, cruel, scary, nightmarish, insane and … OK! OK! It’s complicated!
