Dino-Adventure Theropods Game Coming to Steam Next Fest

KDramaHQ AdminJune 12, 2025

Point and click adventure video games are an old and beloved genre, but do you know what would make them even cooler? Dinosaurs, of course! Dionous Games thought that as well, and are releasing the demo to their upcoming point and click adventure, Theropods.

Theropods seeks to take the old point and click adventure genre into the modern age. The game jumps backwards into the world of prehistory, where dinosaurs walk alongside humanity. Whether it’s solving puzzles, engaging in the story, or just drinking in the atmosphere, Theropods has a lot to give.

Despite Theropods goal to emulate older games with the genre and pixel art aesthetics, it won’t just keep to the past. Dionous games wants to innovate and expand upon the genre, using modern gaming ideas to bring the concept and genre into the present day. They wish to take the old, and reform it into something that can stand in the current gaming sphere proudly.

Theropods puts this concept into practice for more than just game design, as the story is not just all Dinos and Cavemen. The story may seem to be prehistoric romp, but science fiction seems to lurk in the shadows of this world. Watch as the future collides with the past, and uncover what it all means for you and your home.

What to expect from this point and click adventure!

  • Prehistoric Puzzle Adventure – Explore a lush world where dinosaurs and humans cross paths
  • Cinematic Pixel Art – Hand-animated frame-by-frame, then transformed into stunning pixel art
  • Classic Point-and-Click, Modern Feel – Streamlined, intuitive mechanics with zero hand-holding
  • Sci-Fi Surprises – A layered story that evolves into something far stranger than expected

The demo is available to play on steam right now! While there hasn’t been a release date hasn’t been announced, the game is expected to release fully sometime this year!
