It’s going to be a sunny June, and we’re not just referring to the Thousand Sunny. Crunchyroll sent us this list of planned Blu-Ray releases for the coming weeks.Some are already out, like Log Horizon, but some are still on the way, like the latest My Hero Academia and One Piece sets.
The first and second seasons of Log Horison, along with the follow-up Destruction of the Round Table, were released June 3. The series is an isekai about an expansion to a video game called The Elder Tales (cutting it pretty close there) that transports 30,000 players within its universe. In the world of anime, it’s shocking when this DOESN’T happen. Our main character, Shiroe, now has to adapt his solo playstyle to that of co-op so he can survive. He forms the guild Log Horizon. and hijinks ensue from there.
You know what My Hero Academia is, which releases June 17. This is the first half of the seventh season, in which the heroes lose a powerful ally from the West and find a traitor in their midst. Worse yet, a strategy to separate the villains goes awry when Deku gets pulled to the wrong location. This release is a Blu-Ray / DVD combo set.
Finally on June 24 the latest One Piece set arrives, along with The Ossan Newbie Adventurer (we’ll just call it that since if we tried to say the full title we’d be here all day). Crunchyroll’s full list of Blu-Ray releases, with links to each set, can be browsed below.
