Cho Yi-hyun, Choo Young-woo Reunite in Fantasy Romance K-Drama ‘Head Over Heels,’ Premiering Exclusively on Prime Video
Prime Video recently announced the upcoming launch of “Head Over Heels,” a fantasy-romance K-drama starring rising talents Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-woo. The series follows the story of a high school student who sets out to save the life of her very first love.
Seong-a (Cho Yi-hyun) lives a double life — a student by day and a shamaness by night. One day, she meets Gyeon-u (Choo Young-woo), a boy plagued by an unfortunate fate. Through her spiritual powers, Seong-a sees Gyeon-u walking upside down — a supernatural sign that his time is running out. As she falls head over heels for him, she becomes determined to change his destiny.
Blending heart-fluttering romance with otherworldly mystery, “Head Over Heels” promises to enchant global viewers with its emotionally charged story and unique twist on love and fate. The series premieres on June 23, with new episodes available every Monday and Tuesday on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
Cho Yi-hyun continues to cement her status as one of Korea’s most promising young actresses, with notable roles in “The Matchmakers,” “All of Us Are Dead,” and “Hospital Playlist.”
Choo Young-woo, who recently won Best New Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards for “The Tale of Lady Ok,” also impressed audiences in “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”
The two stars previously shared the screen in “School 2021,” and their on-screen chemistry is set to shine once again in “Head Over Heels.”
The series is directed by Kim Yong-wan (“The Whirlwind,” “If You Wish Upon Me”) and written by Yang Ji-hoon.
