If you enjoyed Split Fiction and don’t feel like waiting years for Hazelight to come up with the next co-op adventure, we have good news: imagine if someone took that game and combined it with Alien Isolation. You’d get Astrumis: Survive Together, the new two-player survival game that just launched on Steam.
You and a friend play as the only two survivors of a space station experiment gone wrong: John Kowalski, the explorer, and Yang Sungbin, the Mission Control Operator. Project A.S.T.R.U.M.I.S. was experimenting with mutating aliens until one got a bit…TOO mutated. Now the two of you must cooperate to solve the mysteries of the ship and escape, while staying out of the alien’s way.
The player controlling Kowalski must plumb the depths of the ship, reroute its power and hacks into control systems. The player controlling Sungbin must use surveillance footage to monitor the alien’s movements, solve puzzles and guide Kowalski along safe paths. Many of the obstacles are time-sensitive and require the skills of both of you at once!
Bullet Point #2 is correct and perhaps the coolest part of Astrumis: Survive Together. Anyone who purchases the game on Steam receives a free friend pass for a second copy, guaranteeing you won’t play alone (that is if you have friends). The game is now available on Steam at a 10% discount for the first week.
