Let’s be honest, there’s nothing better in the heat of summer than a water park filled with slides and rides to cool you off while filling you with a surge of adrenaline. If you’re itching for that thrill but want more power over the park itself, then Aquapark Tycoon might be just the thing you’re looking for. 

Aquapark Tycoon is a water park management sim in the same vein as Rollercoaster Tycoon, with added splashback, offering you the chance to build and develop a (hopefully) thriving water park for virtual visitors. Although there is no set release date for the full game as of yet, the demo is coming very soon. 

As with any good management sim, half of the fun comes from creating your very own park from scratch. Aquapark Tycoon is no different, allowing you to build fully custom pools, saunas, and arguably the most important, slides. They’re the main attraction of any good water park, after all, so you’ll need to know what you’re doing. 

Different slides in Aquapark Tycoon

As part of the Aquapark Tycoon demo, there will be a limited number of slides available to build and try, perfecting them for your virtual thrillseekers. Here’s a quick rundown of the different types of slides you’ll be able to try out:

Tube Slide

• Maximum height: 15 meters
• Maximum slope: 15°
• Construction: Closed tubes

Open Slide

• Maximum height: 10 meters
• Maximum slope: 15°
• Construction: Open tubes

Family Raft Slide

• Maximum height: 20 meters
• Maximum slope: 25°
• Construction: Half tubes (standard or wide), enclosed tubes (standard or wide)

Raft Slide

• Maximum height: 20 meters
• Maximum slope: 25°
• Construction: Half tubes, enclosed tubes
• Tires required

Super Raft Slide

• Maximum height: 30 meters
• Maximum slope: 70°
• Construction: Half tubes, enclosed tubes, plexiglass tubes
• Tires required

Free Fall Slide

• Maximum height: 30 meters
• Maximum slope: 70°
• Construction: Half tubes

Funnel Slide

• Maximum height: 20 meters
• Maximum slope: 30°
• Construction: Closed tubes, funnel

Metallic Racer Slide

• Maximum height: 25 meters
• Maximum slope: 45°
• Construction: Open tubes, half tubes, flat tubes, closed cuboid tubes
• Tires required

Wave Slide

• Maximum height: 10 meters
• Maximum slope: 25°
• Construction: Flat tubes, angular tubes
• Can be used with or without tires

More types of slides, such as Whitewater and Looping Slides, are still in development and, while they won’t be available for use during the upcoming demo, they will appear within the full game once it’s released.
