Andy Bogard’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Trailer Drops! A Striking Evolution in Design
The wolves are howling again, and Andy Bogard is making sure we hear them loud and clear. SNK has just released the long-awaited trailer for Andy in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and fans of the franchise are fired up. Initially announced as part of the Season 1 DLC lineup, Andy’s official reveal confirms what many were hoping for—his return brings a dramatic visual overhaul and some explosive new moves.
Oh, and if Mai Shiranui has her way? It might also bring wedding bells.
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: Andy looks good. Gone is the simple white gi and shampoo-commercial hair. In City of the Wolves, Andy steps out in a sleeveless, laced-up tunic over a sleek black base layer, tied with a blue-and-gold obi that screams, “Yes, I’m still a traditional martial artist, but I also read fashion blogs.” His red gauntlets are now upgraded with added detail, and he’s rocking fingerless gloves like it’s EVO 2004.
The ponytail? Gone. Instead, we get a shorter, textured hairstyle that looks like he finally found the character creation menu.
The trailer showcases Andy sparring with his student Hokutomaru, and let’s just say the poor kid should’ve stayed home. The two share some moves, but Andy’s versions are juiced with extra flair—light trails, energy bursts, and the kind of screen-blinding effects that make you wish SNK added a “Photosensitive Warning” in the settings menu.
His finisher? A savage palm strike that smashes Hokutomaru’s face into the ground, causing an actual crater. Sensei of the Year? More like dental bill of the year.
In case you missed it, Mai Shiranui’s story in Street Fighter 6 had her globe-trotting in pursuit of Andy, determined to finally lock him down in holy matrimony. And now in City of the Wolves, she’s still at it—because apparently, this man is slippery enough to avoid both commitment and hit-confirms.
But real talk: if Andy doesn’t propose soon, Mai’s only got about seven years left before Mother Nature hits her with the real final boss—menopause. SNK might need to rename her super to “Last Egg Spiral” if he keeps dodging her.
If you thought this trailer was the only bombshell, think again. Andy’s part of a DLC roster that reflects a major Capcom x SNK partnership. Street Fighter 6 has had Terry and Mai for months now, turning Metro City into South Town’s summer Airbnb.
Now, SNK is returning the favor. Ken and Chun-Li are heading to City of the Wolves as guest fighters, officially making this the most ambitious crossover since that time you tried to main Ryu and Geese in Capcom vs. SNK 2.
In a rare W for our wallets, Andy Bogard will be available as a free DLC character starting June 24, 2025. Whether you’re a lifelong Fatal Fury fan or just here to watch Mai’s descent into romantic desperation, this is your chance to see Andy shine—and maybe finally get body-slammed into adulthood.
