Alien RPG Evolved Edition Will Offer An Early Pledge Badge
As Alien: The Roleplaying Game prepares to turn five, Free League is giving it a new coat of paint with what they call the Evolved Edition of the game. This version will contain new artwork, new content, and a variety of new tools to use, including a Solo Mode. At the same time it will retain compatibility with the previous version of the Alien RPG. And if you’re quick, it will also come with a crew badge.
Today Free League revealed the early pledge bonus for the Alien RPG: Evolved Edition Kickstarter: a cloth crew patch for the USCSS Fidanza, That’s the starfreighter which the new scenario Rapture Protocol, which you’ll find in the Evolved Edition, takes place in. The badge will be offered to anyone who chooses one of the physical pledge tiers within the first 48 hours of the campaign.
But there will be more than just felt in there. Here’s what’s in store for your crew:
- A bold new look and feel to the Core Rulebook, with all new page layouts by Johan Nohr (of MÖRK BORG fame), new interior maps and artwork, and a stunning new core book cover by renowned artist Colm Geoghegan (Creepy Duck Design);
- Revised and expanded core rules for talents, stress and panic, and stealth;
- Revised combat rules for armor, ammo, grenades, stuns, skirmishes, and spaceships;
- New iconic weapons, items, ships, and locations from the hit film Alien: Romulus;
- Various new rules and tools in high demand from players, including zero gravity, miniatures play support, and expanded campaign play;
- And last but not least, Last Survivor, a robust solo mode designed by masters of the solo trade, Shawn Tomkin and Matt Click.
The Kickstarter campaign for Alien: The Roleplaying Game — Evolved Edition is scheduled to launch March 25. We should have more details for you st that point. Keep an eye on this page for further updates.
