An ancient evil will rise again to threaten modern day Seoul in “Twelve,” an action-packed fantasy series starring Park Hyung-sik and Seo In-guk, among others, coming this August 23 to Disney+.
A long time ago in an era long forgotten, twelve zodiac guardians fought against evil spirits in a last ditch attempt to save the human race. After a monumental sacrifice, the evil forces were sealed away and humanity continued to thrive.
Today, only a few of those guardians remain, working odd jobs to protect individuals, but when evil once again begins to rise, the “Twelve” will be brought together under Tae-san’s leadership to save modern day Seoul and the Korean peninsula from being consumed by darkness.
Twelve stars Don Lee (“Eternals,” “Train to Busan”) as Tae-san, the leader of the “Twelve,” and Park Hyung-sik (“Buried Hearts,” “Soundtrack #1”), as Ogwi, an ancient being sealed away for a thousand years.
Also in the cast are Seo In-guk (“Café Minamdang,” “Death’s Game,”) Kang Mi-na (“Café Minamdang,” “Welcome to Samdal-ri”) and Sung dong-il (“Reply 1988,” “If You Wish Upon Me”), among others.
The series is written by Kim Bong-han (“The Golden Holiday”) and Don Lee, and is directed by Kang Dae-kyu (“Pawn,” “Harmony”) and Han Yun-sun (“18: Eighteen Noir”).
Fans of unmissable Korean storytelling can head over to Disney+ today to enjoy immediate access to series including this year’s most watched Disney+ Korean drama, “Nine Puzzles,” as well as “A Shop For Killers,” “Hyper Knife,” “Moving,” and a huge range of other premium talent-driven Korean dramas.
