안녕하세요,

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (2016)

My Rating: 9/10

Rating Received: 9/10

This honestly has to be one of the best dramas in 2016. I absolutely love everything about it, including the plot, the actors, and the way everything flowed together. First, the plot was very unique, with the main FEMALE character being a weightlifter. Not that that is bad, it is just very unusual for the media to portray women as anything else but dainty. I liked that she also had a strong personality, yet still acted like a female, and not too mainly, along with her friends. Second, the romance was literally perfect, you could tell that the actors really got along well during this drama. The realness of the story was what really got me. The relationship wasn’t all serious where someone was trying to get killed, or a jealous ex never gave up and ended up with a sad ending. I think that they tried really hard to make this different than other dramas, and in my opinion, they successfully succeeded. Third, I didn’t really care for the side romance that they added in. I just don’t believe that they put much effort into it, and just added it to give the characters life. Also, there were some parts that were introduced but never revisited, which confused me at first, but as time went on I realized how unimportant to the story that it would have been. Lastly, the choice in actors was perfect. I will explain more below why.

I recommend this show to romance and comedy lovers. Romantic comedies are everywhere, and they are very popular, but this particular romantic comedy is worth watching. I had fun, not having a serious plot and laughing and having fun most of the time. Like I mentioned above, I think the scenarios in it is more real than any of the others that I have seen.

Before watching this drama I knew Lee Sung Kyung (It’s Okay, That’s Love, Cheese in the Trap, and Doctors), and Nam Joo Hyuk (Cheese in the Trap, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo). OMG, when I say that the two actors had chemistry, I mean it! They were a perfect match. First, the height, both are really tall, and to find a female who is also really tall, yet shorter is wonderful! Second, they fit together perfectly, they both seemed like a really goofy pair, that accentuated their acting together. I would really like to see them together again, as they are wonderful actors together (There was a rumor that they were dating, but I’m not too sure). The supporting actors and actresses did very well too. Everyone played their part, even though I believe that some of the romances should have been omitted.

If there is anyone that agrees or disagrees with me then tell me, I would love to hear from you. If you just want to comment, then please do.
